David and Victoria Beckham are strengthening their South Florida ties by acquiring a luxury waterfront mansion at 4736 North Bay Road in Miami Beach, currently listed for $80 million. The celebrity couple, known for their real estate ventures and high-profile status, are purchasing the nearly completed 14,270-square-foot estate, which boasts nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, four half-baths, a state-of-the-art gym, spa, home theater, 124 feet of water frontage, a large pool, and an outdoor kitchen and lounge area. The property, designed by Choeff Levy Fischman in collaboration with Antrobus Design Collection, is located on a 0.6-acre lot and was developed by Niklas de la Motte, who initially purchased the site in 2018 for $10 million.
The mansion has been marketed by Dora Puig, owner and broker of Luxe Living Realty, and was recently marked as pending on the Multiple Listing Service. The Beckhams’ purchase adds to their existing Miami property portfolio, which includes a full-floor, 10,000-square-foot condo at the One Thousand Museum tower, designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid. They bought the unit in 2020 for approximately $19.8 million, highlighting their affinity for unique and high-end real estate.
David Beckham, a former soccer superstar and co-owner of Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami CF, has been instrumental in establishing Miami’s soccer scene. Alongside his partners, including MasTec Chairman Jorge Mas, Beckham is developing a massive mixed-use complex that will include a stadium for Inter Miami CF on the former Melreese golf course site near Miami International Airport. Since the team’s debut in 2020, they have attracted top talent, including global soccer icon Lionel Messi.
The Beckhams’ new home is part of the ultra-luxury boom on North Bay Road, an area increasingly popular among celebrities and wealthy buyers. This exclusive street has seen several record-breaking sales, including media mogul Barry Diller’s purchase of a 1.5-acre waterfront lot for $45 million. Recently, spec developer Francisco Perez sold a mansion on the same street for $23.3 million, reflecting the rising value and desirability of North Bay Road properties. The Beckhams’ investment further cements the street’s status as a premier location for luxury real estate in Miami Beach.
